There are a number of ways in which legal advice can be funded and your APIL lawyer will advise you on the most appropriate way for you.

Conditional Fee - Often referred to as ‘No win – no fee’. This usually means that you need an insurance policy to cover the costs if you lose your case. Your APIL lawyer will be able to advise you of the cost of this insurance and whether that cost can be reclaimed if your case is successful.

Insurance Cover - You may already have insurance which covers this type of claim. Discuss this with your APIL lawyer.

Employee Organisations - If you are a member of a union or other employee group, contact your local representative, who may be able to fund your case.

Private Funding - You may wish to pay for any legal costs yourself.

Legal Aid - This is no longer available for most types of personal injury claim. Your APIL lawyer will be able to advise you if this is so with your case.

You can only claim compensation when it can be proved that you have been injured due to someone else’s negligence. If you think you may have a case for compensation, you should contact an APIL lawyer who will give you honest and impartial advice.
